  • What is the difference between our products and PLA products?
PLA products require them to be treated and properly composted in specialized compost facilities. One issue is that many countries unlike the US do not poses such facilities and that limits the capacity to effectively dispose of such material. Our products have the ability to degrade in landfill conditions and are home compostable which is very affective in countries that do not have proper waste management solutions.

  • Are your products FDA approved or contain BPA or PFAS?
Yes our products are approved by the FDA and do not contain BPA (Bisphenol A). BPA is a chemical compound used to make certain plastics, generally found in water bottles and other containers used to store food. Although the FDA has indicated that exposure to BPA at low levels is safe or non-harmful, keep in mind that products not marked as BPA-free can contain this chemical. Our products are free of PFAS chemicals. Polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS are chemicals that have been found in different types of tableware, dust, and even food. They're infamously referred to as the "forever" chemicals because they don't fully degrade. Our sugar cane bagasse products are free from this family of chemicals, our manufacturer works with specifically designed and innovative grease and water resistant additives that do not use PFAS.

Our products are with bio-based compounds like agave, cassava roots, and sugarcane bagasse and sourced from agro-industrial waste. These innovative products are lab tested to degrade in 12 to 36 months when in a biologically active landfill. In short, you can dispose of our products like you regularly do in a trash can, where they will begin to decompose, a much better alternative than plastic and most PLA products.
