The Problem.
From our lands to our oceans, plastic pollution is everywhere. It's harming marine life, including sea birds, turtles, fish, and ocean vegetation, all which impact human health. Single-use plastic pollution is causing a devastating effect on our rivers, oceans, waterways and communities around the world. Thanks to the increased pressure from people around the world, companies have recently started to take responsibility
for helping create the plastic pollution crisis. Despite saying they are taking the crisis seriously, the world’s biggest corporations are focused on the wrong types of solutions.
Recycling​

Over 6 years, only 9% of plastic has been recycled, 12% has been incinerated, and 79% of that material is still accumulating in landfills.​

Composting

Many US States and foreign countries do not have commercial composting or the ability to sort compostable plastics from regular plastic items. As a result, these plastic products never reach their intended destination, and end up in landfills or worse make their way in to the environment, causing irrevocable damage for many years to come.
